There will be a free Fatherland premiere screening Saturday, May 19 at 2:30pm in the Folino Family Theater at Marion Knott Studios in Orange, CA.
The film technically debuted as part of a showcase of short films on May 4, but the May 19 showing is more of an official premiere for cast, crew, etc. I am unable to be there, but wanted to encourage anybody in the area to stop by and check it out.
Fatherland is a short film I wrote which was directed by Rob Warzecha. It's set on a farm in Eastern Germany in the closing days of WWII, and centers on the strained relationship between a father and son. It is in German and Russian with English subtitles.
Following the May 19 screening, the film will likely hit the festival circuit. For more details on any upcoming screenings, check out the official Fatherland Web site.
